A Break From Reality

Today has been great and exhausting (not exhausting in the sense that every ounce of energy has been drained from my body like an SUV drains gas; but exhausting in the sense that I can function for the entire day, but once my head hits the pillow I'm out for good). I woke up to JT's jokingly assigned "Shake It" by Metro Station ring tone, laid out with him, worked out (hardcore) with him, ate God's pure gift from heaven in the form of Su Casa with him, watched Dane Cook's "Vicious Circle" with him, went to Redeemer with him, watched National Treasure with him, and overall just had loads of fun with him. Who knew that a side effect of fun was overwhelming drowsiness?? Not I. Maybe if you're not supposed to mix fun and working out. Or maybe it's the Minus The Bear. They're like the next step of fun--ear-ingested ecstasy. Regardless, it's worth it. Even if the side effect of tiredness causes a side effect of loopyness (AKA: punch-drunkenness). From what I can tell, the world is truly filled with vicious circles. Dane, you have my respect. And speaking of comedians, I have a joke: George Bush.
With my freshly glued-in track of red and track of blue fake hair, I will enter the world of subconsciousness in which I dream of my underlying fears, hopes, and excitements combined with pure insanity. Stephen Colbert marrying me hanging upside down in an Alaskan tree with a leprechaun as our priest ? Stephen and the leprechaun are my hopes and hanging upside down in an Alaskan tree is the insanity.
I wish you all a fulfilling slumber.

Winding Down

Playing with 50 children for four hours a day every day this week has completely annihilated any energy I may have started with. Regardless, I've had a blast with the little heathens. As annoying as they tend to get, they're all spirit-boosters.
As of 30 minutes ago, I'm uploading the 1,000ish pictures from this week and preparing them to be projected and chuckled at by all the children, parents, and VBS Workers. I'm sure I'll eventually post some on here. I also have to update my Flickr, knoPhotography myspace, and deviantART. Anyways, it's off to the shower, to complete the endless picture task, then to the VBS Barbecue.
Have a great tail end of your afternoon and your entire evening.

Chaos

This entire week has been very hectic so far due to the VBS I'm helping out with. This is the first time I've gotten within 50 feet of my computer in the past two days (though there's really nothing wrong with that...). I've taken over 200 pictures a day so far, so you can only imagine the fun I'm going to have uploading and preparing them to be played as a slide show for tomorrow evening. Nonetheless, I've enjoyed myself helping with this whole ordeal. Plus, I'm getting paid the exact amount that I still owe my parent for my SB-800 Nikon flash. Though the main reason I bought it was for VBS, the whole cycle just works itself out.
Well, as worthless as I feel even sitting here wasting the time in which I could be sleeping to type about how busy and tired I am, I'm not going to feel any better unless I actually transport myself to my place of nightly rest.

Goodnight.

Change

Seeing as I'm not big on journaling, this is a bit peculiar. I think it's mostly because I write as though I'm speaking to someone or expecting someone else to read it, but in the end it just seems like I'm talking to myself. That, and the fact that I can't imagine anyone so interested by me that they would take time out of their life to sit down and read about mine. Nonetheless, I'll stand up to the challenge.
This week so far has been well, this month so far has been needed, and this year so far has been heartbreaking. But since anything about my life story up to this point is too long and too unnecessary to throw out there, we'll just pretend I've been a vegetable until five minutes ago. Or maybe it should be until two days ago, because there is no denying this horrid burn on my chin. I don't think vegetables spill burning hot tea that might as well have been molten lava on themselves and get second degree burns.
Tonight I'll be attending a show (fo free !) at the Infinity to see and photograph the bands--one of which is A Day To Remember. Talk about enthusiasm... In the morning, I'll be waking up ridiculously early for the fourth day in a row and working at Redeemer's VBS. Let me just inform my readers that I do not enjoy dressing up as a princess in a dress so big and fluffy that it swallows my entire ego and with a puppet frog hanging from my hand, all for the mere enjoyment and intellectual and/or spiritual enrichment of 40 little children. Maybe it's my inability to enjoy a church function, but for how much I enjoy kids, I hate this skit too much.
I wish you all a solid evening.
Peace !
